The Medical Library uses COPICO as its vendor for photocopy and print management. All patrons wishing to print or copy in the library and Computer Resource Laboratory (CRL) will need a COPICO Card. COPICO card readers on photocopiers and printing paystations will deduct $0.10 per page from the value of patrons' cards.
The Medical Library has 15 photocopiers available for patron use, including one ADA compliant photocopier and one color photocopier.
Thirteen of these photocopiers are found in the Photocopy Room, located in the center of Lower Level I of the library (journal stacks).
Two additional photocopiers are located in the rear of the Morse Periodical Room (unbound journals).
COPICO Cards may be purchased from vending machines located in the library's Information Room, Photocopy Room, and CRL. $1.00 will purchase a card valued at $0.60. A $0.40 charge is applied for the reusable card when it is initially purchased. COPICO cards can be revalued in$1, $5, $10 or $20 increments at the same vending machines.
Alternatively, $40.00 COPICO cards may be purchased at the library's Circulation Desk:
- By using a Request for Services Form using a grant or department (PATEO) number and presenting a valid University ID;
- By charging the $40.00 card to a grant or department by presenting a valid University ID card and a valid Stock Room Card;
- With a personal check and a valid driver's license.
- Or with a MasterCard or Visa.
Medical and Physician Associate students may pick up a COPICO card for personal use at the Medical Library Circulation Desk. Please remember that each student is allotted three $20 cards annually (one card given at a time, 600 copies total) plus an additional two $20 cards in the year the student writes a thesis.
You may revalue a COPICO card at any COPICO vending machine.
