Librarians at the Cushing/Whitney Medical Library offer instruction in the use of CourseInfo and presentation graphics (such as MS PowerPoint) to assist faculty and their support staff in integrating new technology into their teaching.
The library collaborates with faculty who wish to deliver their courses
to students via the World Wide Web. Blackboard offers faculty the
opportunity
to place course materials on the Web without needing to learn HTML.
Training is available to get starting using Blackboard. Contact Judy Spak, Instructional Technology
Coordinator, for more information regarding Blackboard and what it can do
for you, or to arrange a training session.
To request a Blackboard site for your class, please visit its.med.yale.edu/about_itsmed/academic_computing/meded/courserequest.html.
The Instructional Technology Coordinator consults with faculty who wish
to supplement their teaching with
computer assisted instruction
materials. The library acquires software at the request of faculty
for a particular course as well as software for general review or USMLE
preparation. You can view a complete list of
computer
assisted instruction materials available.
