This is an introductory keyword search in PubMed that provides access to biomedical articles published from 1951 to present, including citations indexed by MEDLINE. PubMed was developed by the National Library of Medicine (NLM). More information.
Scopus, a indexing database, offers access to 14,000 peer-reviewed titles from more than 4,000 international publishers including MEDLINE. Scopus provides broad coverage of the sciences and social sciences, indexing 12,900 journals. Subjects covered include chemistry, biology, environmental science, mathematics, physics, engineering, health and life sciences, social sciences, psychology, and economics. Non-english journals are covered (must provide an abstract in English). Scopus also provides citation analysis (back to 1999, and eventually to expand to 1994). With registration for a personal account, Scopus can provide saved search functionality and email alerts.
This search tool performs a simultaneous search for title keywords in the Yale University Library's holdings of electronic journals, electronic books and databases of articles. It does not search Yale Library's print holdings.
